Site: Overhaul

I guess that someone in my position -- someone with an eponymous website -- must, at some point, speak for himself, rather than just throw a bunch of words on a webpage without context.

So, the context:

Thanks to my trusty tech guy (and even more trustworthy friend) Frank, michaelsendrow.com has been overhauled and updated. As you can see, many of the changes are cosmetic. And all of the changes will make it easier for me to make updates. Which, if you're someone other than the three or four people I speak to regularly about my work who, more importantly, cares about my work, I hope to keep you more, well, up-to-date.

The major change you will see to my site is the absence of The Beef, my "arts and culture" blog. If you were a regular visitor to The Beef (and few were), you may have noticed that I hadn't posted in well over year. All of the new content had been produced by cleverly codenamed contributors. Part of the decommission of The Beef was for administrative reasons -- I just didn't update it regularly enough to make it worthwhile -- but mostly, I don't consider myself able to objectively speak for theatre criticism or theatre critics.

It's hard enough for me to make good art, to say nothing of publicly addressing what makes good art.

I'll leave that to the people who want to criticize art.

That said, enjoy the new site! I expect to have it completely updated in the next few weeks.
